Day 10 maybe has been the toughest so far. It left its marks on almost all of our riders but its great to see that most of them are in good spirits and determined to carry on.

Let’s start our daily digest from the back of the pack this time: We were a little worried about our two ‘elder statesmen’ Klaus and Jaap because they left the track and headed to Hof. Jaap wrote that they picked up new brake pads there and will return to the track tomorrow. They are doing great.

Nebo decided to take another rest day to recover from his knee issues in Johanngeorgenstadt and hopefully will carry on across Fichtelberg tomorrow. A group of 9 or 10 riders seems to be riding not more than 100km apart from each other in front of him. Among them at least Tim, Thoralf, Jakob and most probably also Björn made it across CP3.

Jakob and maybe Björn seem to be camped at Katzenstein Boofe (where Alex stayed yesterday). Tim and Thoralf are only a few km away from Alex who obviously had a particuallarly tough day but still is super determined and looks forward to a better day tomorrow.

Jaume has less than 250km to go and also suffered hard today. He decided to take it a bit easier now which is perfectly ok because he has enough time at hand to finish this ride in good time and enjoy it. No news from Giorgio today. Jaume and Giorgio are not riding together at the moment and we are not sure whether Giorgio is ahead of Jaume or behind him. We will see.

Dear racers: Have a good and dry night! Rest and recover! Tomorrow will be a better day!
